It all began way back in 1946 when Leo Fender started the Fender Musical Instrument company. Their first electric guitar, the Fender Broadcaster was released in 1950, it was ultimately renamed the Telecaster, and in 1954 they released the Stratocaster as a guitar for country players. Artists such as Buddy Holly and Jimi Hendrix however had different ideas, and together with other greats such as Eric Clapton, helped etch the Stratocaster into rock and roll history. Fender Guitars

Fender Vi Bass 1964 Fiesta Red

The Fender VI was originally released in 1961, and followed the concept of the Danelectro 6-string bass released in 1956, having six strings tuned E-E, an octave below the Spanish guitar. This particular guitar is a superb Fiesta Red example in near mint condition.
